Your Own Personal Swim Coaches: Dr. Philip Werthman

Our featured Fertility Planit Swim Coach has pulled so many celeb’s swimmers out of retirement, he’s been unofficially dubbed “Vasectomy Reversal Specialist to the Stars”.  Dr. Philip Werthman is Hollywood’s most trusted vasectomy reversal specialist, but he also has a star power all his own, appearing on Extreme Makover, 60 Minutes, The Today Show and ESPN, as well as various magazines including Men’s Health, Maxim, The New York Times and National Geographic. He even sat down with us to talk about shooting blanks . Yeah, he’s that good.

But Dr. Werthman is more than just a media personality, he’s also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Urology at USC Medical School. He’s published two textbooks on male fertility, and performs 3-4 vasectomy reversals a week. Because of his outstanding work and high success rate (98%), he’s won several awards, including the American Fertility Association’s Illumination Award.

Dr. Werthman will be speaking at Fertility Planit about the dangers of Testosterone Replacement Therapy and how it affects your fertility. He’ll be joined by two men that know their stuff about testosterone, a gladiator and a physical trainer.

You may recognize one of Dr. Werthman’s speakers just by his biceps. Lee Reherman (yes, the Hawk from American Gladiator) is a guys’ guy. Since hanging up the Gladiator unitard, Lee has been working as an actor, appearing in a wide range of work, from Star Trek: Into Darkness to Chuck to The Regular Show. Rubbing muscular elbows with body builders, Lee has seen his share of the dangers of Testosterone Replacement Therapy and will bring his personal experiences to the session.

Joining Lee and Dr. Werthman is Harley Pasternak, aka the guy who trained Iron Man. Harley is a very popular personal trainer among celebrities, training Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Robert Pattinson and our favorite Avenger,Robert Downey Jr. But Pasternak isn’t just another gym rat. He has his Master’s in Exercise Physiology and Nutritional Sciences from University of Toronto and worked as an exercise and nutrition scientist for Canada’s Department of National Defense.

These three men know what they are talking about when it comes to men’s health and testosterone and they are all speaking at Fertility Planit. Time to man up and hit the fertility conference.

P.S.

Dr. Werthman is also featured in an awesome article for CNN about the connection between March Madness and vasectomies. Check it out here.
